Reframing

SEMINAR AND WORKSHOP
Faculty of Architecture Southeast University, Nanjing China.
2019.

For some decades now, the question about the efficacy of images has not been limited to the field of art history, philosophy or the media. Today anthropology, natural sciences, archaeology, computer science and literature, among others, are fields that recognize in the image a place for the production of knowledge that is subject to modification and displacement. This has entailed a change of focus that impacts both on the representation of meaning and on the conditions of representation. The lectures will explore how drawing and image in architecture have posed and continue to pose new ways of learning to see and question space, the city, and the environment in such a way that students enrich, expand and refine their criteria, design language and spatial intelligence.
